A farewell party

Our professor was going away on a long leave. It was known that he would retire after leaves were over. He had been our teacher for four years. He was our favorite professor. We loved him much. We decided to hold a farewell dinner in this honor. The boys subscribed three rupees each. The dinner came off on Saturday, the 27th December in the college hall.
The principle, all the professors and lecturers were present. The boys were in their clothes. Tables and chair were arranged in proper order. When all were in their chairs, a photograph was taken. Then at 9 p.m. the, the dinner was served. I with some of my friends was to serve the gathering. The menu was well chosen. There were dishes of meat, Palau, veal pic and spitted hen. Fruits, pasties and tea were also served all these things were delicious and had been very carefully prepared. The service was excellent.
When the dinner was over. Sher Muhammad read an address on behalf of the boys. He expressed sorrow at Professor Saeed Ahmad `s departure. He thanked him for his past kindness. He had been as forgiving as father. The boys felt sad at his retirement. Then the principal stood up. He paid a tribute to the retiring professor. He praised his work and high character. Professor saeed Ahmad then rose amidst cheers. He made a suitable replay. He thanked the boys for their love. He advised them to work hard, and to take regular exercise. The party ended at 10 p.m. with caber for professor saeed. We returned home with gloomy hearts.
