My Favorite book
1. Introduction which book I like.
2. Summary of that book.
3. Reasons why I like the book.
I have read so many books, but my favorite book is “Silas Marner”. It is a famous novel written by George Eliot. It tells the story of a poor weaver. It one of the most read novels.
Silas Marner was a poor wear. He lived in Lantern Yard. He was very pious and simple. He was engaged to a girl name Sarah. His friend William Dane also fell in love with that girl. He made a plot against Silas Marner and proved him a thief. The girl refused to marry Marner. The people turned against him. His own faith in God was shaken. A result, he left that place and went to another village Raveloe. He did not like to mix with the people. He worked all the time. Fifteen years passed and he collected a lot of money. He had no other interest in life.
One night his gold was stolen. He went mad with grief. But after a few days he found a little girl in his hut. No one came to claim the girl. Marner adopted her and named her Eppie. This girl changed his life. Now he became a kind, loving and sociable person. His belief in man and God was restored. Eppie grew young. Her real father was the land-lord of that village. He acknowledged her as his daughter. But Eppie refused to go with him. Marner was happy at this. Eppie was married to young man Aaron by name. All of them lived a happy life.
The story in this novel is very interesting. It has been told in a skillful manner. Being the story and you will like to finish it. The language is quite simple. There are phrases and idioms of everyday use. There are many emotional situations in the story. We learn many lessons also from his story. We feel that God is not unjust. He punishes the evil doers and rewards the good persons. We should be patient in all circumstances. We should never hate our fellow-beings.
