| Students reacting to an interesting and unforgettable incident |
Every student experiences many unforgettable moments in life, but some incidents remain more interesting and memorable than others. An interesting incident is one that surprises us, teaches us something new, or leaves a lasting impression. The following essay describes one such event from my school life that I can never forget. Our native town situated near the river Indus. There is a dam in the west of town. In 1990, on 12th March the daily business was going on in the market. Suddenly somebody began to run. Perhaps he had been late for home. A boy also ran after him in high spirits. Both of them were followed by another dignified gentleman. In ten minutes, everybody was running. The people thought that the dam broken and their lives were in danger. Go East was the cry that arose.
The whole city was panic. Running people looked like a flowing river the people left their stores, offices and shops to join this great rush. House wives, children, cripples, servants and even dogs and cats slipped out of the houses, shouting and screaming. People ran out leaving fires burning, and food cooking and doors wide open. Firemen, policemen, army officers were also dominated by the panic. They ran coast ward. All of the people were on foot. Nobody seemed to have courage to stop and start his car. The interesting thing was that nobody bothered to verify the rum ours. All this time, the sun shone quietly, and there was nowhere any sing of oncoming water.Militiamen were called to restore order. Through loudspeaker they announced. The dam has not broken. The running people took it for. The dam has not now broken. They increased their speed. Some people got twelve miles away some reached eight miles away. Most of the other gave up, got tired. Fell down or climbed up the trees. After two hours’ struggle fear was removed and order restored. When the people learn t the fact, they felt ashamed. We still enjoy this incident.
This interesting incident taught me that every day can be special and unforgettable if we stay open to new experiences. It also reminded me to cherish every moment and learn from unexpected events.
